This week we’re joined by another amazing person Jesse met on his visit to Yale. Dr. Brendan Shanahan is a Associate Research Scholar, Committee on Canadian Studies at Yale University. You’ll learn how Dr. Shanahan found his way to Canadian Studies, including stops you’ll recognize from past episodes. They’ll talk about his book, Disparate Regimes: Nativist Politics, Alienage Law, and Citizenship Rights in the United States, 1865–1965 and how touch on the points that relate to French-Canadians. They’ll also talk about current projects Dr. Shanahan is working on.
